Fire Trilogy

A fire so hot

  everything

     becomes

        nothing

 it will go 

till it is finished

Surely, that is the key.

Those that burn slightly 

go out, but are not complete.

                                                 Does it burn?

                                                 See the flame.

                                                 But does it burn?

                                                 Feel the warmth.

                                                 But is it real?

                                                 Will it ever be

                                                 unless it is tried.

                                                 But will the pain be worth the truth?

             As it burns low

             do you know when it is finished?

             Ever really see it end?

             It starts,

             A spark, a sputter,

             a glow.

             And it ends.

             But did you ever hear it crackle

             after you thought it long gone?
